Cucumber

Overview

Latin name cucumis sativus. Technically a fruit! Mostly water, very yummy, very refreshing.

Varieties

[!warning] 🚧 To Do Would love to write up some notes on the different varieties of cucumber.

  • Maybe some notes on how large a "typical" cucumber is could come in handy here as well!
  • Or maybe different varieties of cucumber, like "Persian" or "English", would merit their own separate plant entries? They do seem like somewhat "separate ingredients" in the context of cooking, at least a lot of the time!
  • Maybe each plant could optionally have a "possible substitutions" list? Or maybe that makes more sense in the context of specific eats recipes?

Storage

[!warning] 🚧 To Do Would be great to write up some tips on how best to store cucumber at home!
