Latin name cucumis sativus
. Technically a fruit! Mostly water, very yummy, very refreshing.
[!warning] π§ To Do Would love to write up some notes on the different varieties of cucumber.
- Maybe some notes on how large a "typical" cucumber is could come in handy here as well!
- Or maybe different varieties of cucumber, like "Persian" or "English", would merit their own separate
plant
entries? They do seem like somewhat "separate ingredients" in the context of cooking, at least a lot of the time!- Maybe each
plant
could optionally have a "possible substitutions" list? Or maybe that makes more sense in the context of specificeats
recipes?
[!warning] π§ To Do Would be great to write up some tips on how best to store cucumber at home!
