Kale Chips

A crunchy, salty snack that won't make you feel like crap if you eat too much of it.

Ingredients

  • Kale - one bunch

  • Oil - about a tablespoon

  • Seasoning - about a tablespoon - nutritional yeast, for example

  • Salt - 0.5 teaspoons

  • Lemon juice - about a teaspoon - optional, for garnish

Method

  • Preheat oven to 225˚ F.
  • Rinse and thoroughly dry the kale.
  • Tear kale into small pieces, and discard any stems.
  • In a large bowl, drizzle the kale with the oil and sprinkle the salt and seasoning over everything.
  • Massage the oil and seasoning into the kale.
  • Spread the kale on a large baking sheet - maybe two baking sheets. You don't want things touching much.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then turn the pans and toss the kale if possible.
  • Bake for about another 10 minutes, keeping an eye on things to prevent burning.
